Description
The Tarrazu region has nutrient-rich, well-drained soils of volcanic origin, making it the best-known coffee-growing region. Costa Rican law stipulates that only Arabica may be grown in this area, which means that the coffee is guaranteed to be Arabica.
In the high altitudes of Costa Rica, the coffee develops a subtle and spicy flavour. It grows relatively slowly at an average temperature of only 18° C and a humidity of at least 75 %. This gives it plenty of time to develop its typical character. This makes it particularly flavourful. Its acidity is very gentle on the stomach due to its place of degradation.

Costa Rica Tarrazu coffee is one of the basic varieties for making espresso. It is ideal for making cappuccinos and lattes, where the milk blends perfectly with the rich flavour of the coffee.
This variety is also ideal for preparation in a Jesve or geyser machine.
